About Us
We are established since 1992 (over 30 years) as Myanmar’s first market research agency and pioneer in research services in Myanmar. It has 250 research professionals and 200 project-based resources in 24 regional offices throughout the country. It has conducted close to half a million door-to-door interviews and more than 6,000 focus groups.

He is a professional with over 30 years of experience. A secretary of the National Economic Social Advisory Council and Joint Secretary-General of the UMFCCI. He is also the MD of Myanmar Marketing Research and Development Co. (MMRD) and has traveled across Asia to promote Myanmar's importance.

U Thurein Nyein
Vice-Chairman
He oversee the organization under his consulting services, focusing on business development and strategic growth. He has over 30 years of experience in the research industry, specializing in media, market, and social research. He is the founder of Myanmar Resources Network and former MD at Nielsen MMRD.

Daw Sabei Aung
Managing Director
She is the MD of Myanmar Media Insight (MMI), with extensive leadership experience in business management and media. She drive the company's growth and strategic development in Myanmar's media research sector.
History Timeline
In 2014, a Joint Venture with Nielsen established and continued the media business as the Nielsen Media Research branch in Myanmar. The partnership expanded services by extending TAM to (6) cities, adding OOH Monitoring, and integrating advanced tools like Arianna Dashboard, W+ Software, and Clear Decision Software. This collaboration combined local expertise with global methodologies, enhancing insights and tools for the Myanmar media market.
2014
Media Insight Services, established as a dedicated branch under MMRD’s research services, has been shaping media strategies for businesses in Myanmar since 1992. The branch specializes in TV Ratings, measuring two TV channels in Yangon and Mandalay using the Pen & Paper Diary method, along with Media Monitoring services for (2) TV channels and print media. It also conducts Nationwide Consumer Media Behavior Surveys, known as the Consumer Index.
1994
In February 2021, the business transitioned to operate as a separate company under Nielsen Media Myanmar. Despite challenges in face-to-face data collection, the company expanded its services by upgrading from the Pen and Paper methodology to the M-Diary, utilizing the CAPI method for enhanced data accuracy and efficiency.
2021
Transitioned to the local ownership as Myanmar Media Insight (MMI) Company under MMRD Group.
